My time at Charukriti, the art studio specializing in idol-making, was truly memorable. The studio's tranquil atmosphere fosters creativity and appreciation for the craft. The idols created here are not merely art pieces; they exude a sense of sacredness and spiritual significance. My visit left me feeling inspired and enriched, and I wholeheartedly recommend Charukriti to those interested in experiencing the beauty and craftsmanship of traditional idol-making.

The work you are doing is very beautiful. God has given you special qualities. You are proficient in it. If I ever want to get an idol made for worship in the future, I will get it made from you because your work is of a level I have never seen before.
I'm Abhisek Bhattacharya, a sculptor whose journey began in a small village, inspired by my father’s craft. Despite early challenges, I pursued my passion and studied sculpture at Bengal Fine Arts College, earning several accolades, including a Gold Medal and topping my department.
I later completed my MFA at Kala Bhavan, Visva-Bharati University, where I explored innovative materials like hay. Since then, I’ve been actively working with Puja committees, and in 2021, my work was officially recognized on a Puja banner—a proud milestone. Sculpture is not just my career, it’s my calling.
